Just to throw my 2 cents worth in why not go for something abit different than silver. Maybe change it to gold/yellow and do a Iron Man type colour scheme.

Something like this with more gold used?

Nice model, not sure I have the talent for that!

I now have, four new testers build and under coated... Hopefully try something out tomorrow.

Looks easy enough, start with a black base coat then follow that up with the airbrush. Load it with a semi-transparent red (i use the model air stuff with a drop of thinner) and go around each pannel section leaving the centre black. Will take a few coats to get the colour you want, be sure to do more on the edges as the colour builds up for that nice gradient effect.

For the striking line edge mix up some orange colour and with a dry flat brush quickly flick it parralell along the pannel. Add a drop of white or more yellow and do smaller sections and hard corners to break it up.

You could also use a red primer and shade down and then go back with red to clean up the blends.

Hi Rob,

Thanks for the air brush tips, might give it a while when I get to the vehicles. It seems like you and others have more confidence in my painting ability...

Half way through Necron tester 5, think I'll do this one to completion.

Cheers Scott

For most of us the difference in painting is knowing the technique, I am finding my own ability is limited a little because I have not ever had a painting lesson. If you get shown somthing you will often find that you have the skills to do it yourself. If you can be bothered or not is another matter
